It’s not surprising that Apple’s native Dark Mode feature for the iPhone and iPad is a feature that many Apple users love. But while many of my apps are compatible with this feature, most would agree that most web pages are not. Especially, most users prefer the dark mode on the iOS and iPadOS platforms, and the highly bright web pages make your eyes uncomfortable. But, it will not bother you anymore if you have jailbroken your device. iOS developer WilsontheWolf‘s latest and free Jailbreak tweak called WebShade shows the web pages you visit in dark mode.

WebShade is an excellent jailbreak tweak to show all the web pages you visit in dark mode. This tweak supports multiple web browsers. It also works well with the native Safari app and with Google Chrome in the App Store.

This tweak’s main difference is that the web pages’ background is changed from simple white to dark gray. You know that reading web pages is easier for you in dark environments. And if you have it enabled, it will work well with the native dark mode on your iPhone or iPad.

The concept behind WebShade is not particularly new. Some developers such as Deluminator and Nebula have released tweaks that provide similar functionality.

Although this tweak is free, it’s worth noting that the WebShade works incredibly well for most websites. However, I urge you to give it a try. I found support for many of my favorite web pages, and they will be for you too.

How to download WebShade tweak?

Those who want to try out the WebShade can download it for free from WilsontheWolf‘s repository through their favorite package manager. This tweak supports Jailbroken iOS and iPadOS 13 and 14 devices. Also, this is open-source on the developer’s GitHub page.

If you do not already use WilsontheWolf‘s repository in your Cydia sources, you can add it to your Package Manager with this URL.
