The iPhone’s Home Screen contains app icons for every app you have installed. Among them, there is a reserved place at the bottom of the Home Screen to store four shortcuts for your favorite apps. It is called the Dock. If you are a jailbreaker, you can customize the Dock in many ways. Therefore, a new iOS developer named VyperDev has released a free jailbreak tweak called Transdock that makes the Home Screen’s Dock fully transparent.

You can see the before (left) and after (right) screenshot examples above to identify the difference. Transdock tweak changes Dock’s appearance by removing the background. So, all the app icons in the Dock appear as part of the Home Screen, not as a separate group of app icons.

After installation, the Transdock tweak adds a dedicated preference window to the Settings app where jailbreakers can disable or enable the tweak on demand. Then, you can tap the Apply Changes button to save your setting.

Disabling or enabling a Dock background is decided to one’s personal preference. However, it’s always lovely to have jailbreak tweaks offering this functionality as many jailbreakers like those kinds of tweaks.

Those interested in trying Transdock can download the tweak for free from VyperDev’s repository. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 14 iPhones.
