There are currently many jailbreak tweaks and apps released by various developers around the world. So, it is not difficult to find any tweaks that suit your needs. Some jailbreakers jailbreak their iOS device for their fun and to get the latest entertainment experience.

When taken as a jailbreak hobby, I also pay attention to the discreet Jailbreak tweaks that cause me to do exciting things.

One such change is The Shy tweak. iOS developer haoict has created this new free release. It simply dims the app icons on your Home Screen when the user is idle for a few seconds.

As an example, look at the screenshot below. You can see what the icons look like when they are dimmed.

One of the benefits of this Shy tweak is that the icons become semi-transparent so that the wallpaper is more clearly visible. This concept is not new. It was first introduced in 2016 as Evanesco. However, the Shy supports iOS and iPadOS 14 devices.

After installation, the Shy adds a unique preferences window to the Settings app, where users can configure it to their liking.

The Options as follows:

  • Enabling or disabling The Shy tweak
  • Setting a custom idle delay time
  • Choosing to dim both icons and labels
  • Hide app icon labels when the dimming effect takes place
  • Reset all settings to their defaults

The Shy is a purely aesthetic tweak. But it’s excellent for fun for any iPhone or iPad. After a certain amount of inactivity, like a PC, a screen server starts up, and the Shy tweak evokes similar feelings.

Those interested in trying out The Shy can download it for free from haoict’s repository via their favorite package manager. This tweak supports jailbroken iOS 14 devices.
