A few days ago, Dynastic Repo developers announced a planned shutdown that could occur at some time next year. They further state that launching an archival program will continue to host existing tweaks and allow users to download those already hosted there. So, the program includes free tweaks automatically. But, paid tweaks need to opt-in to it or move to another repository. In particular, the announcement had an excerpt from a popular paid ShortLook jailbreak tweak created by Dynastic Repo developers. However, you can now download the ShortLook tweak free for iOS 14 sooner than expected.
What is ShortLook?
Let’s see what ShortLook is. ShortLook is a new notifications jailbreak tweak that offers a new way to get notifications from your favorite apps. It was created by iOS developers Ayden Panhuyzen, Jamie Bishop, Justin Proulx, and Jose Hernandez.
ShortLook gives your incoming notifications a fresh look. Typically, they’d appear as banners on your Lock screen, but ShortLook depicts them as customizable glyph based on a black or transparent background.
ShortLook also replaces the iOS notification system whenever your iPhone’s display is off, such as when your device is idle on the desk. Significantly, the large notification icons represent the app sending you the notifications and the contact trying to reach you.
Once installed, ShortLook provides a preference pane in the Settings app where you can configure the tweak to your liking.

However, Shortlook is an exciting and valuable idea to change how we interact with notifications on iOS. So, you can download Shortlook tweak free from the Dynastic Repository if you want to try it out. The tweak also works with jailbroken iOS 11, iOS 12, iOS 13, and iOS 14 devices.
Do you think ShortLook provides an enhanced user experience with incoming notifications, and do you expect to install the tweak? Let’s know in the comments section below.
