A new Terminal add-on named locsim was launched a little over a month ago, allowing jailbreakers to spoof their current location without requiring tweak injection. Although it was a great add-on, some users prefer to use a graphical user interface (GUI) instead of Terminal commands. iOS developer MightnightChips filled that need by releasing RelocateMe jailbreak tweak, a fork and graphical user interface frontend of the popular locsim add-on that will make using this feature easier for anybody unfamiliar with command-line interfaces.
RelocateMe tweak is based on locsim, and it uses Apple’s private APIs to spoof or simulate the current location. Furthermore, it doesn’t use tweak injection to do that, so when you spoof your actual location, your device’s apps shouldn’t be able to determine.
Once installed, it allows you to do quite a bit more than spoof your current location. You may also make it show as though you’re moving along a pre-determined path at any pace. For example, if you wanted to make apps on your device think you were driving from one specific place to another at 60 mph, RelocateMe could accomplish just that.
The end-user can see all of the locations and routes they’ve started in the RelocateMe app in real-time, with complete support for location charting. Furthermore, even after you’ve stopped the RelocateMe program, the simulation continues in the background, at least until you choose to cancel it manually.
Especially, using the tweak is very easy if you’re not familiar with a command-line interface. If you want to spoof your location regularly, the RelocateMe tweak is for you.
RelocateMe Tweak Repo
Those interested in trying RelocateMe tweak out can buy it on the Chariz repository for $2.99 from any package manager app. The app also supports jailbroken iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 devices. Furthermore, you can get its source code from GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license, just like locsim.
