What is MacPass?
MacPass is a new and free jailbreak tweak, which brings macOS Monterey Login Screen for any iPhone, and iOS developer ETHN has released it.
So, I think you may want to get it on your device, and the good thing about the tweak is it also supports Face ID and Touch ID. This means that you don’t need to enter the Passcode to unlock your iPhone manually.
All you have to do is press the home button and then unlock your iPhone right away.
Install MacPass and Setup
Now, let me show you how to install it on your iPhone. To get a tweak, make sure your iPhone needs to be jailbroken.
You can download this tweak for free from both Ethan’s repository. You can add it to your package manager using the URL below.

Once you installed the tweak, it adds a dedicated preferences window to the settings app. So, you can configure the MacPass at first.
MacPass Options
- Enable or disable MacPass on demand
- Choose a Profile picture
- Assign a Username for the Login Screen
- Change the text color of the Lock Screen interface
- Change the Passcode type between Pinpad and QWERTY keyboard
- Automatically unlock your iPhone when entering the Passcode
- Automatically unlock your iPhone when enabling the Face ID
- Enable or disable showing the Passcode view on the startup
- Enable or disable showing the keyboard on startup
After you have a configured everything, click on the Respring button at the top right corner. Then, you will see your iPhone lock screen look like macOS Monterey. Then, enter your iPhone passcode to unlock, as I mentioned above. It also works on Face ID and Touch ID.
How to fix tweak not appear in Settings
Once installed, the MacPass settings should be shown in the settings app. If not, you need to install one more tweak inside here to make the MacPass appear in the settings app. So, you need to make sure that a PreferenceLoader is installed on your device.
So, you need to search and install the tweak as well.
Note: As the developer states that the MacPass tweak does not provide a passcode for checkra1n devices with SEP disabled.
MacPass tweak is compatible with iOS 13.0 to 14.6 jailbroken devices. It is also Open-source on the developer’s Github page.
