Sometimes, you may remember that an interesting new jailbreak tweak for the iPhone’s passcode entry interface had released called Hive over three years ago. This tweak was talked about a lot because it introduced a passcode insertion interface with a hexagonal-inspired aesthetic similar to that of a beehive in typically. Today, we talk about the latest free jailbreak tweak called Hive Reborn by iOS developer Sugiuta. Especially, it revives the passcode interface for modern devices running iOS 14 and iPadOS 14.

The Hive Reborn tweak interface is identical to the Hive tweak, and it adds a preference window to the Settings app where you can configure the tweak to your liking.

Hive Reborn options

  • Turn Hive Reborn on or off
  • Configure the main color and adjust the opacity
  • Configure a label color and adjust the opacity
  • Change separator color and adjust the opacity
  • Enable/disable the special Hive unlocking animation
  • Change the animation duration

Hive’s hexagons disappear in a cascade effect from the center of the screen toward the edges, making for a fairly fascinating animation. It’s sleek, and it’s something you have to see for yourself to understand fully.
