There are several package managers to choose from today for Jailbreakers, and Cydia is one of the oldest and most widely trusted jailbreakers used for over a decade. However, Cydia hasn’t been upgraded its real aesthetic over the years. This is despite the fact that other package managers like Installer, Sileo, and Zebra outperform Cydia, which has a far slicker interface. Fortunately, iOS developers t0mi, BluDood, and DaanDH12 have released FreshCydia. This new and free jailbreak tweak gives the Cydia app a modernized home page that is on par with many competing package manager apps.
FreshCydia significantly improves the aesthetics of the Cydia app’s home page, as shown in the before (left) and after (right) screenshot samples above. Featured package banners and various recommended repository sources that you may add to Cydia with a tap have replaced the outdated link shortcuts.

It’s important to remember that FreshCydia is the only skin for the Cydia app. As a result, it will do nothing to make Cydia as fast or faster as some of its competitors. FreshCydia, on the other hand, is an excellent way for Cydia fans to keep using their favorite package manager app, although with a new look.
According to the developers, FreshCydia gets the featured package and repository source lists via an API supplied by Parcility. However, the developers will not need to regularly update the tweak with new featured content because the Parcility API will do it for them automatically.

Those interested in giving FreshCydia a try can download the tweak for free from the BigBoss repository via their favorite package manager app on jailbroken devices running the Cydia.
