The year 2021 has dawned with discoveries, new trends, and experiences in the world of Apple technology, creating new prospects for iPhone users. As a result, the demand for users’ iPhone storage space increased. So, free storage space on your mobile device or iPhone is a valuable resource. It takes up more storage space for your photos, favorite movies, music, games, and apps. Adequate storage space is required for the iPhone to function correctly. Lack of free space is the main reason for the malfunction of the entire iOS system. Therefore, it is essential to clean your iPhone’s memory regularly. If your store is almost full, you can know how to free up space on your iPhone without deleting apps.

1. Disable Photo Stream

Photo Stream option syncs photos among the iOS devices made in the last 30 days. You can disable Photo Stream if you do not want to. Disabling sync will prevent clogging of your device with extra photos and will clear storage and make free up space on your iPhone.

  1. Go to iCloud in the Settings app and tap Photos.
  2. Turn off Upload to My Photo Stream.

2. Turn off Sharing Photos in iCloud

Sharing photos in iCloud is easy in iOS 14. ICloud creates an album when you want to add all the pictures of different users and invite people. But, if you do not use it, you can delete the accumulated old album or deactivate it.

  1. Go to iCloud in the Settings app and tap Photos.
  2. Turn off Shared Albums.
  3. From the popup menu, tap OK.

3. Delete iMessage Attachment Files

When you send media files via iMessage, all photos and videos are duplicated in iMessage Documents and Data stored in memory. But you can delete the correspondence completely. If you do not want to delete everything like that, you can only delete the attachments when there is no iPhone storage.

If you have jailbroken your iPhone, you can send & receive texts from the comfort of your computer by using WebMessage jailbreak tweak. It turns your iPhone into a messaging server. If you like, you can check below article:

  1. Open the conversation with the files you want to delete in iMessage
  2. Tap and hold on the photo, video, or audio file, and from the popup menu, click More.

4. Disable Saving Duplicate Photos when Shooting in HDR

When you capture HDR (High Dynamic Range) photos, your iPhone saves two shots, the original image, and the HDR version. Disabling duplicate saving will free up a large amount of memory.

  1. Go to Camera in the Settings app.
  2. Enable Keep Normal Photo.

5. Clear Safari Cache

When you browse the Internet, Safari downloads many files to your iPhone, such as website histories and website data. So, temporary files and Safari history also take up a lot of space on iPhone or iPad. To clear them,

  2. Scroll down to the bottom of Safari settings, Click Clear History and Website Data.

6. Clean up Books app, Videos, and Podcasts Content

Books in the Books app takes up a large amount of storage space on your iOS device, especially for pictures or other media. You can imagine how many high-resolution movies are on your iPhone. If this option is enabled, the podcast episodes will be automatically deleted. To disable it,

  1. Go to Podcasts in the Settings app.
  2. Then, disable Delete Played Episodes.

7. Remove the most extensive unwanted photos and videos from your iPhone

Another place to get more storage space on your iPhone is the gallery and camera roll. It takes up a lot of space for its largest photos and videos. Therefore, you can delete the largest videos and photos and enjoy your freed storage space.

8. Find out and remove similar useless photos

When you take a picture, you take several images without stopping to take one picture. There are similar pictures in between. You can delete those similar photos and unneeded duplicates to clean up space on your iPhone.
