When opening and closing an app or a window on iPhone, iOS has its UI animations that greet the user at every turn. Every iPhone owner has their preferences regarding how animations should be. Apple doesn’t allow users to configure the Animation speeds of the iOS. But if you have a jailbroken device, you can get the experience and advantage of a new and free jailbreak tweak called FastAnim by iOS developer TheRedSpecial. It speeds up iOS animations by any factor you see fit. Especially, FastAnim tweak allows you to speed up App Opening, Folder Opening, App Switching, and the rest of SpringBoard.
After installation FastAnim tweak, you’ll see a dedicated preference window in the Settings app, and you can configure a few options to your liking.
You can adjust,
- Turn FastAnim on or off on demand
- Change the preferred animation speed between 1 and 6 (1 = standard and 6 = the fastest)
- Disable or enable the app icon fly-in animation every time you unlock your device
The tweak developer has provided a Respring button at the bottom of the preference window to save whatever options you change there.
