When you have a jailbroken iPhone, customization possibilities are endless. Therefore, many jailbreak tweaks have been developed for specific facets of the iOS operating system to accomplish a particular purpose. DockSearch is the latest jailbreak tweak by iOS developer ginsudev, makes your web search quicker and easier than ever before. The tweak adds a search bar to the dock on your home screen and helps you explore the web without opening Safari or other web browsers.
As the name implies, it is not difficult for you to guess what the tweak does. As you already know, the DockSearch tweak adds a search bar to the dock on the Home Screen, and it can be used to search the web, and access websites. Especially, as noted by the developer, the tweak also works perfectly with the user’s default browser choice, such as Chrome.
After installation, you will see that the search bar has been added slightly above the dock icons with the default browser icon. You can understand it further by looking at the screenshots above.
DockSearch Tweak iOS 14 Options
DockSearch provides a few configuration options in the settings app.
- Toggle the DockSearch on or off on demand
- Choosing your preferred search engine from the list
Then, you can tap the Appy button at the top right corner to save the settings you made.
Note: DockSearch is compatible with jailbroken iOS 14 devices but does not support iPad or floating docks (For now). Furthermore, the developer has tested the tweak on iPhone XR.
