Date Picker Wheels replaces the new ‘Inline’ Datepicker with ‘Wheels’ Datepicker for iOS 14.
After releasing iOS 14 / iPadOS 14, some of the features that existed in iOS and iPadOS 13 have been removed or further enhanced by Apple.
Not surprisingly, many iPhone users have ever set up alerts and alarms for upcoming events in the iPhone’s native calendar app and watch app. You are often in the habit of entering a specific time and date for those types of configurations.
As you can see, Apple has replaced iOS and iPadOS 14 with a traditional wheel-based selector with an inline version. It features a combo box for the time and a full-blown calendar-picker for the date. Some people like this new look, but some don’t like it because it’s more annoying.
However, if you still prefer the traditional wheel-based date or time picker, iOS developer Tomasz Poliszuk has released a new free jailbreak tweak called Date Picker Wheels. It gives users back to the old wheel-based date selection interface for iOS 14 or iPadOS 14.
Take a look at these screenshots, for example. There you will see the difference between before and after the Date Picker Wheels tweak. The new inline selector on iOS and iPadOS 14 seems to have replaced the old wheel-style date.
How to download the tweak?
Jailbreakers interested in getting the old iOS 13’s date picker back on their iOS or iPadOS 14 devices can download the newest Date Picker – Wheels tweak for free from the BigBoss repository via their favorite package manager. Anyone interested in learning more about how this tweak works and it is open-source on the developer’s GitHub page. The tweak supports iOS 14 and above.
