We all like to customize our iPhones to reflect our personalities. Now, with iOS 14, we can easily accomplish this task with widgets and custom icons. However, your iPhone does not need to look the same as another user’s if that’s what you desire. So, one aspect that you can customize is the battery indicator. The battery indicator on your iPhone or iPad is the most important icon in the status bar. However, you can change the battery indicator color on your device according to the current battery level. iOS developer P2KDev’s new free jailbreak tweak called ColorMyBattery iOS 14 lets you do just that.

If you have jailbroken your iPhone, you can install ColorMyBattery tweak that lets you change and set different colors for different battery percentages, among other things.

The above screenshot example shows how the battery icon looks after being painted blue with the ColorMyBattery tweak. But you can choose any color you want.

ColorMyBattery Options

After installing the ColorMyBattery tweak, you can go to the tweak’s preference pane in the Settings app to configure as your desire.

  • Toggle ColorMyBattery on or off
  • Enabling or disabling custom body-color
  • Choosing Battery body-color
  • Enabling or disabling custom bolt color
  • Choosing Battery bolt color
  • Selecting Low Power Mode color
  • Selecting Charging color
  • Choosing different colors for various battery levels

After configured the tweak, you can tap the Respring button to apply changes. Significantly, the tweak gives you a vast assortment of colors to pick from for various battery levels. So, you won’t need to see the numeric battery percentage anymore.

By default, iOS supports a few colored battery indicators, but it’s not customizable. It indicates green up until around 20%, and yellow indicates battery level is automatically entered to Low Power Mode. Finally, it becomes red as your battery level closer to a critical state.
