Normally, we keep at least a few contacts of our family, our best friends, or close friends on our iPhone. So, they are the phone contacts we are in constant contact with. Fortunately, Apple allows you to set the phone’s favorite contacts in the app. Then it is easy to connect with them when you need a few steps.

By naming a phone app’s contact as a ‘favorite,’ the person’s contact number is entered into the specific favorite tab at the app’s bottom. But if you are looking for an even more convenient way, CallFavorites is a newly released and free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Pixelomer.

After installing CallFavorites, users can call their favorite contacts directly from the Home Screen by simply placing a 3D touch or Haptic touch feature on the phone app icon.

This gesture reveals the traditional 3D touch / haptic touch-centered menu. It includes additional options and your favorite contacts. However, if you want to make a phone call, tapping on one of them will automatically dial their number.

You may recall that this feature was a native feature of the Apple iOS operating system. Apple seems to have removed it in iOS 14.

This tweak will get only the favorite contacts you have configured in the phone app, and you do not need to configure CallFavorites. Those who want to try this tweak can download it from Pixelomer’s repository through their favorite package manager. This tweak supports Jailbreak iOS 14 devices. Also, it is open-source on the developer’s GitHub page.

If you have not already added pixelomer’s repository, then you can add it to your Cydia sources with the following URL: https://repo.pixelomer.com.

Would you like to bring this feature back to your iOS 14 devices with CallFavorites? Or are you already using CallFavorites? Let us know in the comments section below.
