Aerial 2 (two) is one of the significant tweaks that allow jailbreakers to change the color of the iOS status bar. But, it is not available to you for free. However, another jailbreak tweak that will enable you to change the color of the status bar is BattiBar, and iOS developer HallieHax has released the BattiBar for free. What makes it even more special than the Aerial 2. It colorizes your status bar based on the percentage of your battery on a gradient, which means allowing your status bar to match your theme and serve a purpose ultimately.
For one thing, the BattiBar is the newest concept I’ve seen. It changes the color of the status bar items in proportion to the battery percentage of your device. It varies depending on the color you choose. Primarily, BattiBar offers options to change the color of the status bar in both dark mode and light mode. You can see that the color changes from the charged color to the dead color as the battery percentage of the iPhone or iPad gradually decreases.
BattiBar Tweak Features
Once installed, BattiBar adds a dedicated references window to the settings app where jailbreakers can configure it their liking.
Here, you can,
- Toggle BattiBar on or off on demand
- Choose Light mode battery colors as Charged Color or Dead Color
- Change the Alpha color in Light mode via a slider
- Choose Dark mode battery colors as Charged Color or Dead Color
- Change the Alpha color in Dark mode via a slider
Those interested in trying the BattiBar tweak can download it for free from the Packix repository via your favorite package manager.
Then, you can save changes by pressing the Respring button at the top right corner. The tweak supports iOS 13 and iOS 14 jailbroken devices, and it is also open-source on the developer’s Github page.
