I’ve noticed that some iPhone users are apprehensive about the battery level of their devices. So, they tend to keep an eye on the battery level for a long time to ensure that it doesn’t die quickly. As you know, iOS indicates a green battery icon fill for any battery percentage above 20% by default. And when the battery level is less than 20%, it turns red. IOS developer ViperDev has changed the tradition and done something different for the battery colorization experience by releasing a new and free jailbreak tweak called Axe.

Axe is a simple battery tweak. It uses a slow-shifting color gradient to colorize your jailbroken iPhone’s battery indicator based on the battery percentage.

After installing Axe tweak, with the fluctuating battery level of your iPhone throughout the day, your iPhone’s battery indicator continues to change colors according to a slow-shifting color gradient. According to the developer, at the maximum battery level, 100%, the battery indicator should be bright green, 50% the battery indicator should be yellow, and eventually red, users should recognize that your cell phone’s battery is close to 0%. In addition, you will also see different color changes during the battery draining from 100% to 0%.

Once installed, Axe tweak adds a dedicated preference window to the Settings app where users can enable or disable the tweak on demand.

Noticeably, the Axe tweak doesn’t provide options for choosing what colors to use for the battery indicator. But it uses a fully automatic color scheme that changes as your battery drains. If you want to use custom colors for the battery indicator, you can use ColorMyBattery iOS 14 tweak.
