Want to see the difference in the digital watch you often see on your iPhone? If so, a new jailbreak tweak named Analog by iOS developer ginsudev replaces the Lock Screen’s native digital time display with a customizable analog clock on jailbroken iPhones and iPads. You can see some examples of Analog appear in the screenshot examples above. Once installed, the Analog tweak has a little bit of something for everyone and can enjoy the fancy Roman Numerals or a simple numeric clock.

Here, you can see an example for the iPad below.

Analog Tweak Options

After installation, Analog tweak adds a dedicated preference window to the settings app and configure many options.

  • Turn Analog on or off on demand
  • Customize the analog clock face
  • Customize the analog clock hands
  • Configure Analog’s aesthetics

Below, we’ll take a closer look at Analog’s numerous options panes.

Clock Face

Users can select their preferred clock face in the Clock Face settings. There are three options available.

  • Minimal
  • Roman Numeral
  • Cool

Clock Hands

Users can customize their analog clock hands in the Clock Hands preference pane, although the default setting is the only native option.

However, jailbreakers can create their own and place them in the /Library/Application Support/Analog/Hands directory using a file management program like Filza.

“Center.png, Seconds.png, Hour.png, Minute.png” are the four significant pictures required to make a set of clock hands. The following are the file dimensions.

  • Center.png = 25x25px
  • Seconds.png = 16x120px
  • Hour.png = 16x101px
  • Minute.png = 16x120px

Appearance
