What if you could give your wallpapers, a little touch? Amelija adds neat blur effects to your Home screen and Lock screen.

The wallpaper on the iPhone is a personal choice that they use to customize the look of the home screen, which depends on each other’s preferences. But in some cases, the wallpaper used can clutter the home screen with all the app icons overlapping everything. So, one way to fix this problem is to apply a blur effect to the wallpaper. So, there are several ways to do this. That is, you can edit them with a photo editing app, or if you are jailbroken, you can do it on the device on the fly with a jailbreak tweak. So, let’s see how to do it with Jailbreak tweak.

What is Amelija?

Amēlija is a newly released and free Jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Luki120. Especially, it adds highly customizable blur effects to the home screen’s wallpaper. You can see the screenshots below before applying (left) and after using (right).

As you can see, the blurry effect distracts you from the wallpaper. Therefore, your primary focus will be on the app icons, and you will see the app icons better than before.

After installation, the tweak also adds a unique preference window in the settings app where users can configure changes at their discretion.
