With the dawn of the new year, Checkra1n v0.12.2 Released. The Chakra1N team released a message to Twitter announcing that they have updated their Chakra1n Jailbreak tool to version 0.12.2 with a small number of changes. The updated checkra1n v0.12.2 fixes a crash involving jailbreaking A10 or A10X-equipped devices running iOS & iPad OS 14.3 or later with the tool. It also enables the USB function on Apple TV 4K units during regular system operation.

However, the checkra1n team has noted that they have planned to open-source the checkra1n jailbreak in 2020. Unfortunately, the tool is not yet ready for such a milestone as it is out of beta. The tweet suggests that the checkra1n app could become an open-source in the future, but just not before 2020. However, checkra1n has open-sourced the entirety of PongoOS, including our kernel patch finder and SEP exploit!
The update is recommended for all checkra1n users because it includes important bug fixes that affect all users.
